While there are many possible/ interesting ways to design the financial architecture of individual instruments, it all essentially boils down to the nature of value. Why is gold valuable? Why is a facebook share valued at 40 or 100 USD? Why is bitcoin valued at 7,000 or 20,000 or whatever? At the end of the day, an asset is as valuable as people think it is. So if the perception of value is there — and it definitely is when it comes to natural capital — we just need to find a way to unlock that.
